Choose your hotel stop before choosing an airport bus. Compare 6009 for Sinsa, Nonhyeon and Yangjae, and 6020 for Banpo, Express Bus Terminal and Yeoksam. For accommodation near Gangnam Station, check both routes against the final walk.
“Gangnam” is too broad to use as a destination by itself. Save your accommodation’s Korean address and entrance pin. The most convenient transfer may change if you have several suitcases, arrive late or stay some distance from a station.
Compare the complete trip
| Option | Best reason to consider it | What to check first |
|---|---|---|
| Bus 6009 | Your hotel is close to a stop on its Sinsa–Gangnam–Yangjae corridor | Exact stop, arrival-side curb and walking route |
| Bus 6020 | Your hotel is near its Banpo, Express Bus Terminal or Yeoksam corridor | Whether this route leaves you closer than 6009 |
| AREX All-Stop, then Line 9 at Gimpo Airport | Your hotel works well from a Line 9 station | Station transfer, train stopping pattern and final walk |
| Taxi | A difficult walk or several bags makes a direct drop-off valuable | Total vehicle quote, luggage capacity, tolls and surcharges |
The 6009 route and 6020 route are different services. Their city stop lists help identify a corridor, but do not establish that an airport-bound stop is also your arrival curb. Confirm the direction before saving a boarding location for the return trip.
Bus fares and family tickets
Both routes list ₩17,000 per adult and ₩11,000 per child, checked 29 September 2026. The operator’s fare rules apply the child fare from age six through elementary school. One child under six accompanying a passenger travels free without a separate seat; a separate seat or an additional young child changes the fare treatment. Confirm your party’s tickets at purchase.
Three adult tickets total ₩51,000 one way. Compare that with a quote for a vehicle that fits your group and bags. This calculation is a comparison point, not a prediction that a taxi will be cheaper.
Find the ticket counter in the correct terminal
The operator’s airport ticket guide lists:
- Terminal 1: indoor counters on 1F at Gates 4 and 9, plus outdoor counters by exits 4, 8 and 11.
- Terminal 2: counters in the B1 transportation center.
Terminal 1 indoor counters are listed as 06:00–22:00 and outdoor counters as 05:40–22:00. These are counter hours, not a promise about the last bus or ticket-machine availability. Do not apply them to Terminal 2.
Before paying, show your saved address and confirm the next departure you can actually catch, destination stop and boarding bay. Allow for immigration and baggage collection: landing time is not the time you will reach the bus. Follow the ticket and current terminal signs rather than an old platform screenshot.
Keep your ticket and any baggage receipt accessible. At the destination, check the walk to the hotel entrance before following other passengers. We have not tested foreign-card checkout or third-party vouchers; if you use a voucher, read its exchange instructions before joining the line.
The rail alternative: change at Gimpo Airport
Take AREX All-Stop from your Incheon terminal to Gimpo Airport, then change to Line 9 for the station appropriate to your accommodation. AREX’s official service overview confirms this interchange. The Line 9 station list includes Express Bus Terminal, Sinnonhyeon and Bongeunsa.
Choose a train that stops at your intended station and check the full journey in the station route search. Use your actual airport terminal and destination for the fare; an airport-to-Seoul-Station price is not the price of this trip. Allow time to move bags through the interchange and reach a suitable exit.
AREX Express is a different service: it runs between the airport and Seoul Station without stopping at Gimpo Airport. Do not buy Express expecting to make this transfer. Sinnonhyeon and Gangnam Station are also different stations; compare the walk or onward connection with your hotel pin.
If you arrive late
Check the last useful connection through to your hotel, not just the first vehicle out of the airport. A posted departure is not a seat reservation. If no usable bus or rail connection remains, compare the currently available overnight options in our late-arrival guide and confirm late check-in with your hotel.
For a taxi, keep the Korean address ready and check what the quoted amount includes. See our taxi apps and fares guide for the payment and vehicle choices to check.
Save these details before departure
- Hotel name, Korean address and entrance pin.
- Your arrival terminal and a realistic time after baggage collection.
- The chosen route, destination stop and final walking route.
- A fallback if that departure or connection is unavailable.
- A separately checked airport-bound stop and airline terminal for your return.
